Spectra Museum

Every day, 11 AM to 9:30 PM.

A date that has something to look at

First dates are better with an activity, and later dates are better with something you haven’t already done together. Spectra works for both. Nobody has to perform. The rooms do the performing, and you react.

A group of visitors reaches up into hundreds of bell-shaped lamps, all reflected in the mirrored floor.

Four rooms to find together

Laurel is a garden of flowers and petals that respond to you.

Lume is a room of glowing spheres that change colour as you move among them.

Celestial turns mirrors and projection into an endless starfield. Stand still for a minute.

Glimmer turns every step into bursts of colour, and you find yourselves reflected over and over.

When to go, and how

The last slot is at 9:30 PM, so you can have an early dinner first and come after. Or stay on for dinner at O’Vanta (opens in a new tab), Spectra’s immersive fine-dining restaurant. Book a slot online to hold the time you want. Wear white.

Science City Road, Thaltej, with free parking on site. Directions here. Going as a group instead? Things to do in Ahmedabad sorts it by who is coming.

Questions people ask

Is Spectra a good place for a date?

Yes, if you would rather do something than sit across a table. The rooms react to how you move, so there is always something to point at and talk about. Laurel, Lume, Celestial and Glimmer are made for standing next to someone.

What time should we go?

Spectra is open every day from 11 AM, and the last slot is at 9:30 PM. An evening slot lets you go after dinner or before it. You pick your slot when you book.

What should we wear?

White, if you have it. It photographs best.

Which rooms are best for two?

In Laurel, flowers and petals respond to you. In Lume, glowing spheres change colour as you move among them. In Celestial, mirrors and projection make an endless starfield. In Glimmer, you find yourselves reflected over and over.

How do we book?

Choose a date and slot at booking.spectramuseum.com. Tickets are for the slot you pick.

Where do we park, and how long should we plan for?

Parking is free, on site, with room for 80+ cars. Most visitors take 60 to 90 minutes, so dinner fits on either side.
