School trips in Ahmedabad, planned with our groups team

Spectra takes school and class bookings through its groups team. Tell us the date and how many students are coming, and we plan the trip with you. In Chronicle every student draws something and watches it come to life on the wall. In Celestial, mirrors and projection turn one room into an endless starfield.

The rooms, taken like a register

Eight rooms, and every one asks the class to do something. The two our groups team points schools to first are marked.

  • ChronicleEveryone draws something and watches it come to life on the wall. Start here.
  • CelestialMirrors and projection turn one room into an endless starfield. And here.
  • CortexLight, sound, scent and surfaces that react to you, the way a brain does.
  • SagaDesign an avatar and guide it through a mythic world.
  • VortexEvery movement you make sends ripples of sound and colour through the room.
  • GlimmerEvery step you take sets off bursts of colour and sparkle.
  • LumeGlowing spheres that change colour as you move among them.
  • LaurelA garden of flowers and petals that respond to you.
A boy buried to the chest in white balls flashes a peace sign.

Why a museum like this suits a class

The science is in plain sight. The rooms run on projection mapping and motion sensors, and students can see both at work.

If you have a topic in mind, such as light or technology, tell the groups team and they will say which rooms fit.

Tell us three things

The date you would like, how many students are coming, and your school’s name. That is enough for the groups team to reply. Teacher, trip lead or parent-teacher committee, any of you can write.

Questions people ask

Does Spectra host school trips?

Yes. Field trips are one of the group bookings we take. Send the groups team the date and the number of students, and they plan it with you.

How do we book a class visit?

Fill in the groups form, choose Educational as the organisation type and Field trip as the occasion, and add your school name, a phone number and the number of people. You can also call +91 92271 34343 or +91 92271 34344, or write to info@spectramuseum.com.

What will students do?

They take part. In Chronicle everyone draws something and watches it come to life on the wall. In Celestial, mirrors and projection turn the room into an endless starfield. The other six rooms, Cortex, Lume, Laurel, Glimmer, Saga and Vortex, all react to you.

How long does a visit take?

Most visitors take 60 to 90 minutes. Put your student numbers in the groups form, or tell us on the phone, and the team plans the day around them.

When can a school visit?

Spectra is open every day from 11 AM, and the last slot is at 9:30 PM. Ask the groups team which days and slots they can offer a class.
